Brand identity, digital communication and on-air design for the blckwht.tv talk-show format in the Arab region.
blckwht.tv is a branding and communication design project at the intersection of brand identity, corporate design and digital communication. We developed a modular design system for key art, social content, trailer communication and platform formats. The visual language combines monochrome imagery, editorial typography and a focused accent color with high recognition value.
Challenge
Sensitive topics require clarity.
The goal was to frame a talk-show format that discusses social and political topics in the Arab region. The design had to provide orientation without polarizing, while also accounting for linguistic, cultural and media contexts.
Approach
Strong positioning needs strong design.
For blckwht.tv we created a visual identity that does not resolve opposites but makes them visible. Black and white form the design base, complemented by strong contrast, clear typography and a reduced formal language. Corporate design is not decorative here, it becomes a content-driven tool.
Implementation
Identity across all channels.
Commissioned by MediaFrontline and in cooperation with the German Federal Foreign Office, we developed the identity as well as the analog and digital visual language of the talk show for the Arab region. In addition to Arabic-language design, we were also responsible for the complete on-air design. The design system works across channels, from broadcast and social media to digital platform touchpoints, while staying close to its target audience.
